The Glasgow Fringe Festival grew
out of two successful open stage events of January 2004 and 2005, held
in the Acoustic Music Centre in Laurie’s
Bar, King Street, Glasgow.
For 19 days in January 2006, the Glasgow Fringe Festival ran a series of
musical events, providing music that was affordable to all
income groups, while at the same time providing a platform for more Glasgow
musicians, in order to promote the wealth of talent that exists in Glasgow
and the surrounding areas.
